About this piece

A first book for the very youngest or newest cellists by Kathy and David Blackwell, designed to be used before and alongside Cello Time Joggers. Over 60 short, varied tunes take the player from holding the cello and bow and open strings through to the 0-1-23-4 finger pattern, interspersed with quizzes, games, songs and listening activities and colour cartoons. Play-along tracks are downloadable from the OUP companion website; teacher's notes and piano accompaniments are in the separate Starters Teacher's Handbook, and it is fully compatible with Fiddle Time and Viola Time Starters.
