About this piece
A 12-minute duo for cello and accordion, commissioned by the Internationaal Kamermuziekfestival Schiermonnikoog. Cellist Jan Skopowski and accordionist Eneasz Kubit gave the premiere at the festival in October 2007. It was chosen as one of the ten best Dutch compositions of 2007 in the Toonzetters contest. Kulenty made a related work the same year, Preludium and Psalm for harmonium or another keyboard instrument. Magdalena Bojanowicz and Maciej Frąckiewicz recorded the duo on the CD Satin (Sarton Records, 2012).
