About this piece
The fourth and last of Yagling's cello sonatas was written in 2002, during her years in Finland, and lasts about 24 minutes. It has four movements: Sostenuto, Veloce, Adagio and Vivace. Fennica Gehrman publishes it as a cello part and a piano score. The Reger Duo (Krzysztof Karpeta and Michał Rot) recorded it in 2019 for DUX, on an album of Yagling's music for cello and piano that also includes Sonatas Nos. 2 and 3.
