About this piece
A piece for unaccompanied cello, about eight minutes long, written in 1997 and revised in 2014. Cellist Tanya Anisimova, a long-time collaborator of the composer, gave the first performance at Glen Echo Park, Maryland, in 1997 and recorded it on the album Past Made Present (Albany Records, 2018). A Fanfare review describes it as a meditation on glimpses of the future and the lasting effect of places, prompted by the composer's visit to Delphi as a young teenager.
