About this piece
An unaccompanied cello piece of about eight minutes, written in 1990 (the year Yagling moved from Moscow to Finland) and dedicated to her teacher Mstislav Rostropovich. It quotes the fourth movement of Benjamin Britten's Cello Suite No. 1, a work Britten wrote for Rostropovich. Fennica Gehrman published it as a PDF edition in 2025.
