About this piece
Halina Krzyżanowska was a Polish pianist and composer born near Paris who taught piano at the Rennes conservatory for almost fifty years. Her Cello Sonata in F minor, Op. 47 is a three-movement work published by Hamelle in Paris in 1927 and dedicated to H. Lopès, solo cellist of the Opéra-Comique and the Concerts Colonne. Cellist Anna Wróbel recorded it for the Dux album Krzyżanowska: Chamber Music (2020). The first edition is a free public-domain scan on IMSLP.
