About this piece

Mona Rejino wrote Impressions of New York for viola, cello and piano, with an optional violin part in place of the viola, on commission from the Music Teachers National Association for its 2019 National Conference in Spokane [1]. The three movements are Strolling the Upper West Side, Midnight in Brooklyn and Grand Central Station [1]. Rejino also made a solo piano version, Impressions of New York: A Jazz Sonatina [2]. The linked recording is that solo piano version, on Rejino's YouTube channel.
